Amacayacu - Personal Project
Role: Creative Director, Designer, Animator
My dream of encountering the Amazonian rainforest was to witness a multitude of animals in their natural habitat. I spent five days living alongside an indigenous Amacayacu family. On the first day, I embarked on an eight-hour trek through the untouched rainforest, only to come across dogs and chickens. "The forest is slumbering," I thought to myself. However, at night, the symphony of animal sounds filled the air. I realized that the animals were as wide awake as I was, though the cacophony kept me from getting a wink of sleep.
Through this animated project, I aimed to capture the essence of my Amazonian experience: the enchanting nocturnal atmosphere, the vibrant wildlife, and the almost otherworldly feeling.
